[With that, Squall goes around his room grabbing the things he wanted to give Seifer. He had Hyperion with it's case and wrapped it along with a bag of extra clothes of all kind for Seifer. Once he has all the gifts set he puts Lucky's leash on and the two of them head up the apartment stairs to the roof. It takes some time since it's a lot of steps for Lucky but Squall wants to make sure his excitable puppy gets a work out. He will totally spoil him and carry him back down after.
When they finally make it to the roof Seifer is already there and Squall's hands are too full to wave so he just nods at him.]
[ Seifer actually just raises a hand to flick Squall off while he fumbles a little with a match. Yes it's cold, asshole, but he's sort of wrecked his coat more trying to fix it. There's an unlit cigarette between his lips that muffles his words. ]
That happens in winter, y'know.
[ He genuinely doesn't mean anything by it but he cannot help the snark that comes through. Between the cold and his gloves he ends up breaking the match before lighting it and finally just grumbling and tossing the pack down on the ground next to him. While it might look like he's given up Squall knows better and he looks an awful lot like he's concentrating.
It'll take him a good few seconds to focus down the sparse fire magic he can conjure to bring a flame to his fingers instead... Or maybe Squall will be a gentleman and beat him to it. ]
[Of course Squall knows it's cold and hey he has bags with him for this very reason. Seifer doesn't know what's in them yet but Squall sure does and despite being flicked off he does smile a little at the action.]

[He walks over to Seifer and sets everything down before letting a little flame conjure in his hands for the others cigarette. Thank Genesis for helping him learn how to use his fire magic better.]
So...Want to open your surprises up here in the cold?
[Seifer looks up at him, a flicker of that same old defensiveness in his expression before he reins in the kneejerk reaction enough to nod instead. It only takes a moment to lean in and use that flame to light the cigarette and, once he's taken a good drag off it, he holds it up in offering to Squall.]
Well if you've got something for the cold then there's no reason not to huh?
[Seifer lets Squall keep the cig for the time being as he takes the bag, pulling it open and poking around inside it briefly. Blacks and greys, blue and scarlet. He nods a little to himself, approval even though he doesn't say as much to Squall. Of course he is almost immediately pushing to his feet when he catches the sleeve of his jacket.]
You-! [He yanks the long coat out of the bag, a brief hard smile flashing across his features before he's pulling it on. A tension seems to ease out of him when the weight of it settles over his shoulders, like a piece of himself restored. Seifer's fingers run over the material of the sleeve, examining the stitching. He wants to take his gloves off, get a good feel for the material but it looks, if anything, to be even better quality than the original. Openly allowing anyone to see his sorcery-stained hands is too much to allow just yet, though.]
You're gonna spoil me. [A smirk, both hands coming up to tug the collar of the jacket up into that signature pop of his.]
[Squall almost wants to take out his phone and record Seifer's reaction with how happy he gets at the jacket. He had hoped the clothes would have got a better reaction but this was fine too. He will take any good reaction.]
I wouldn't mind spoiling you if it helps us get along better. Besides you deserve it anyway. It looks great on you.
